Customer Support Representative
How would you like the opportunity to expand your knowledge of different grant processes by helping support the online grants management software at Altum? Our clients are the top non-profit grant making organizations in the U.S. and expanding internationally.
We are seeking a qualified professional to provide critical customer support to end-users and external clients of Altum’s web-based software applications. The clients are predominantly not-for-profit grant makers as well as applicants, reviewers, grant administrators, and grantees.
Responsibilities include receiving and logging incoming support calls, assisting clients with use of the software, and conducting initial troubleshooting of problems. The client support representative will also coordinate with the development team to correct software bugs, communicate progress on software fixes to end-users, and update resolution of support calls in the client support system. They will assist the test and development team by testing new software functions. The ideal candidate will be capable of supporting all phases/tiers of product customer support and handling an approximate volume of 20-25 requests per day.
Our ideal candidate will have the following skills:
• B.S. degree or equivalent years of experience
• 2+ years of experience in either grants management or customer support in a technical environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a helpful ‘customer-first’ attitude
• Demonstrate aptitude for customer service and professional telephone etiquette
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Thorough knowledge of Firefox and Internet Explorer web browsers on Apple/Mac’s and PC/Windows platforms
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word and Excel) and conversion of documents to Adobe Acrobat PDF format
• Ability to work well within a team environment
