Reston, VA – Easygrants® receives its second number-one ranking for COTS-based grants management systems, this time by Idealware.
Idealware provides extensive research and impartial resources about software to help nonprofits make smart software decisions. The review of vendors was commissioned by Project Streamline. An effort of funders and nonprofits improving grant application, monitoring and reporting practices, and the Grant Managers Network; dedicated to improving grantmaking by advancing the knowledge, skills and abilities of grants management professionals and leading grantmakers to adopt and incorporate effective practices that benefit the philanthropic community.
The evaluation included seven different vendors against Project Streamline’s essential and gold standard features for online applications and reporting. The systems reviewed included Altum, Bromelkamp, Dulles Technology Partners, Foundant Technologies, MicroEdge, Ocean Peak and PhilanTech.
This reporting guide encourages grantmakers to consider the features of the systems from the perspective of the grantee. It places focus on the features that can best help reduce the administrative burden the grantseekers and grantmakers. In addition to assisting the grantseeker, the report also provides supported research for enterprise architects, application managers and sourcing managers who are considering commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software when replacing their legacy or paper-based grantor systems. The reporting guide’s review of EasyGrants® states that it is a “powerful grants management system with substantial support for complex online applications, status reports and custom workflows, part of a full-featured grants management system.”
Easygrants® received excellent ratings on seven out of nine high level categories that compared a list of features that were represented by all products. The high level categories included Ease for Applicants, Reuse of Information, Overall Applicant Ease of Use, Self Service Creation, Flexibility of Forms, Support for Multiple Stages, Collaboration, Data Export and Access, and Product Background.
