Challenge: The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) needed to streamline the process for collecting clinical research results for NIAID’s Laboratory of Molecular Microbiology (LMM). The challenge was finding a process that was both simple to use and robost enough to handle sophisticated reporting and analysis.
Altum Answer: Altum recommended that NIAID select Infor PM to support its new Clinical Data Entry Query Initiative specifically because of its simple-to-use, web-based, spreadsheet interface and because it provides each user with the ability to do sophisticated reporting and analytics including charting and graphing.
Result: NIAID now has a consolidated database that contains the results of all LMM experiments and provides a platform for data mining to find new knowledge or new hypotheses.
