BCIG BRAINSTORMING
SESSION: "Biomedical Computing at the NIH – a wide angle view”
Clinical
Center (Building 10) Medical Board Room (Room 2C116)
DESCRIPTION: It is pretty clear that biomedical computing is an
integral and essential aspect of the work of all of the NIH ICs. The purpose of
this session is to explore possibilities for achieving more cooperative
collaboration regarding biomedical computing (in the broadest sense) among the
NIH IC’s and across the Intramural/Extramural divide for obvious positive
benefits. The format of the session will be “facilitated unstructured dialogue.”
This means the floor will be open for everyone to speak. The facilitator’s role
is only to keep the dialogue on topic. It most likely will work well if
participants are open to explore together free of limiting mental models in the
spirit of group discovery.
