BCIG Working Groups are for
people who want to actually work together on projects
related
to the above subjects. These groups would be comprised of volunteers from NIH,
other government agencies, academia, and industry that would actually be doing
something
and not just talking. Software products, collaborative technical papers, and
state-of-the
art defining white papers are likely deliverables from such groups. These
groups
will provide participants tremendous incentive and benefits by virtue of the
groups'
very
basic characteristics; strong domain expertise, multi-disciplinary,
cross-cultured,
peer-to-peer,
and non-hierarchical.
