Altum deploys an online survey tool for The Office of Dietary Supplements, National Institutes of Health
Reston, VA. August, 2004 - Altum has developed and deployed an online survey tool for the Office of Dietary Supplements at the National Institutes of Health. This web-based survey tool collects feedback from visitors on the usability of the Computer Access to Research on Dietary Supplements (CARDS) public website and usefulness of the information found. This feedback will be used to update the site to make it as easy-to-use and valuable as possible to users of the information.
CARDS (Computer Access to Research on Dietary Supplements) is the government's largest public website of its kind. It contains data on federally funded research projects pertaining to dietary supplements. Currently, CARDS contains projects funded by the Institutes and Centers (ICs) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) beginning with fiscal year 1999, the first year that NIH ICs began reporting research related to dietary supplements. Projects funded by other Federal agencies will be added to CARDS as they become available.
"As the developers for CARDS, it was a natural fit for us to build the survey tool and help our client gather data to refine their application. The survey tool is a good example of Altum providing a comprehensive solution to fulfill client needs." - Tina Justus, Project Manager, Altum.
The Office of Dietary Supplements exhibited the CARDS database at the Experimental Biology 2004 conference in Washington, D.C. from April 17 - 21. The 3-year-old Computer Access to Research on Dietary Supplements site was designed to include all federally funded dietary supplement research in one online warehouse.
