Altum Teams Up with Collexis, Developer of high-definition search and discovery software, Accelerating Work in Biomedical Research Industry

Reston, VA. November 28, 2007 - Altum, Inc., a national leader in grants management announced today that it has formed a partnership with Collexis Holdings, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: CLXS), a developer of high-definition search and discovery software, to provide customized solutions to the biomedical research industry. The alliance brings together the non-profit and government markets expertise of Altum with the breakthrough search engine technologies of Collexis.

Collexis and Altum have previously collaborated to provide The National Institutes of Health (NIH) with the customized tools necessary to administer the post-award scientific reporting process of its grantees, creating a system which analyzes over $20B a year in research allocations.

“Building on our proven success with NIH, Altum is the premier partner for Collexis to launch commercial grants analysis, reporting and scientific management platforms,” said Bill Kirkland, Collexis CEO. “Over the past five years, Altum has emerged from a world-class development organization to a best-in-breed global solutions provider for the non-profit and government market segments, specifically in the life sciences arena. Altum, like Collexis, has demonstrated a sustained commitment to excellence in web-based technologies and access to cost-effective grants management and related solutions.”

Through this strategic partnership, Altum and Collexis will create a value-added solution on the Easygrants™ and proposalCENTRAL™ grants management platforms. This solution will enable Altum’s grants management clients to analyze and improve the effectiveness of their grant-making efforts.

"Altum has always provided top-notch technology solutions to our customers, including over 30 clients in the biomedical research industry,” said Altum President and Chief Operating Officer Steve Pinchotti. “This partnership will enable Altum to expand capabilities in the area of knowledge management and discovery. Collexis has the most robust software platform to perform sophisticated grant analysis, categorization, trending, retrieval and reporting worldwide. Perhaps more importantly, the technology will help our customers identify trends and gaps in research and showcase new opportunities and breakthroughs in the medical research they fund."

Disclaimer: National Institutes of Health (NIH) is not considered a supporter or partner of Collexis. Reference to NIH in the above shall not be construed as a Government endorsement nor does it obligate NIH to a position on or about the Collexis software.

About Collexis Holdings, Inc.

Named a Trend-Setting product of 2007 by KMWorld, Collexis Holdings, Inc., a leading developer of high definition search and discovery software since 1999, is headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina (USA) with three subsidiaries; Collexis Inc. in Columbia, South Carolina, USA, Collexis, B.V. in Geldermalsen, The Netherlands and SyynX Solutions GmBH in Cologne, Germany. Collexis proprietary technology builds conceptual profiles of text, called Fingerprints, from documents, websites, e-mails and other digitized content and matches them with a comprehensive list of pre-defined “fingerprinted” concepts to make research results more relevant and efficient. This matching of concepts eliminates the ambiguity and lack of priority associated with word searches. The results are often described as “finding needles in many haystacks.” Through this novel approach, Collexis can build unique applications to search, index and aggregate information as well as prioritize, trend and predict data based on sources in multiple industries without the limitations of language or dialect. Collexis’s current clients in the public, private and academic sectors include the Mayo Clinic; Johns Hopkins University; University of California, San Francisco; University of South Carolina; Erasmus University Library; Merck & Co.; Bristol-Myers Squibb; Lockheed Martin; the World Health Organization; Wellcome Trust; the National Institutes of Health and the U.S. Department of Defense. Collexis shares of common stock are traded under the symbol CLXS on the OTC Bulletin Board (OTC BB). For more information, please visit www.collexis.com.
